As an internet marketer we are all working SO hard to drive traffic to our opportunities…whether it be the hottest home based business on the interent today, AllXClub, some other MLM or some other affiliate product. Unfortunately there are ways for interent thieves, web bullies and cyber scumbags to leech off of all of our hard work. I am not going to go into graphic detail how this is done as I don’t want to give anyone any ideas but I will say this…this thievery committed by hijaking your affiliate links and replacing them with their own so that while your customers might THINK they are doing business with you and while your traffic tracking programs might SHOW that you are getting a decent amount of traffic, all sales are being stolen by the individual(s) hijaking your links.
In order to stop this thievery in its tracks you need to make sure that you cloak all of your urls. Now being that many of you who I correspond with are somewhat new to marketing on the internet I am sure that this sounds like some big, scary, overly technical process but fortunately for you that just is not the case. As with many of the other things that we need to accomplish in WordPress there are several plugins that have been designed to help us accomplish this. For me, the one that I have had the most success with is ILWP Simple Link Cloaker. In fact, it is so easy to set up I figure I will give you guys a screenshot by screen shot description of how to set it up so you will have no problems doing it for yourself.
I am going to make some assumptions here like you already know how to download, extract and FTP the plugin to your site. If you have no idea how to do any of those things please post on the forums or email me…if enough people need help with this I may dedicate future posts to these topics.
Once you have the plugin installed you need to log into your WordPress install which is usually found at http://www.yoursite.com/yourblog/wp-admin if your WordPress install is in a subdirectory of a main website or else http://www.yourblog.com/wp-admin if your blog IS your site.
Once logged in you want to click on the "Plugins" menu on the left hand side of the page. Here you will see a complete list of all the plugins you have available for your WordPress installation. The page will be broken down into 3 sections…you may or may not be able to see all three sections depending on current plugin activity. The first section will be "Currently Active Plugins"; pretty selfexplanitory I think…these are all the plugins you currently have installed that are active. This section will be followed by a "Recently Active Plugins" section where you will see any plugins that were recently active but that you have deactivated for whatever reason. Finally (and most importantly for our purposes) you will see an "inactive " section which is where you will find ILWP Simple Link Cloaker waiting to be activiated. On the right side of the plugin you should see a link that say "Activate" click that to activate the plugin.

Once you click on Activate you will want to go back to the left side of your screen and click on Settings. In the Settings menu you will find a link that says Simple Link Cloaker. Click on that link. On the new page that loads you will see two columns of three rows of boxes. The first column is going to be what you want the link to APPEAR as on your site…in fact your sites URL is already filled in and all you need to do is fill in the rest of the information that you want prospects to see if they were to try to view your links properties. For instance if your URL is http://www.mydemourl.com and you want the link to appear as http://www.mydemourl.com/recommends/allxclub you would enter /recommends/allxclub in the box in the first column. In the corresponding box in the second column you would enter your actual affiliate or associate URL, for instance http://www.allxclub.com/2143401. Once you have completed both of those steps you would click on the "Add Cloaked Links" button.

Now anywhere on your site that you would want to link to your AllXClub home based business tour you would simply use "/recommends/allxclub" as your href without the "http://www.mydemourl" part. Any time someone clicks on these links the plugin will automatically handle redirecting the prospect to your tour page and your link will remain safe from those pesky cyber crooks.
